Hello and welcome to my kitchen. I called myself the kitchen witch not because I am witchy or do
spells or hocus pocus but because I hope to bring you luck and happiness in your kitchen. My
mother- in law Rose when I first got married gave me a kitchen witch doll. I first thought what a
weird thing to give me but a kitchen witch brings you luck and happiness in your home.
A kitchen witch, sometimes called a cottage witch or a "Scandinavian" kitchen witch doll, is a poppet or homemade doll resembling a stereotypical witch or crone displayed in residential kitchens as a means to provide good luck and ward off bad spirits.
I mostly will be posting Clean eating type recipes. I eat healthy 80% of the time and that will reflect my blog, but I do love to eat all kinds of foods especially sweets so expect especially around the holidays find some wonderful recipes. I come from a wales father and a southern Texas mother which gives me a well rounded background for cultural food. My mother died before she was 4o and my grandparents raised me and my brothers and gave me a wonderful german (my grandmother) and american indian grandfather. They instilled love faith and family togetherness.
So enjoy!
